One of the must-see postcards in downtown Rio Besides the beauty of the place, the sweets are wonderful.

Colombo Confectionery in the city center is truly a charming place. The atmosphere is beautiful, and the charm of the place impresses you right away. However, the waiting line can be challenging. Alternatively, you can buy takeout or try to get a table near the souvenir shop, where you won't have to wait in line.The sweets are undoubtedly the highlight of the place, worth every penny. They are incredible and definitely worth trying. However, the experience was somewhat marred by the visit to the space where the 7-minute film about the history of the confectionery is shown. The place was stuffy, dirty, and showed signs of mold, which certainly detracts from the experience, as it is a place that needs to be much better maintained.Regarding the service, most of the staff were friendly, but when asked about the wait time, one of the staff responded sarcastically, saying it could vary between 30 minutes and 3 hours and that there was no way to give a more accurate estimate. This could be more professional.We were 4 adults and, despite the negative points, the visit had its positive moments, especially with the delicious sweets.

We waited for more than 30 minutes and were not served, and every time we asked a waiter to take our order, they said that the person who took the orders was coming, and during the time we were there, they did not take our order, the architecture is beautiful inside, but the service is terrible.
