We are here when in Leon. On arrival didn’t think it was open as it was a very unassuming place. However, thankfully it was open because the food was delicious, large portions, fresh vegetable salad with our vegetarian coconut curry. Would recommend checking here out when you visit Leon

Don Jacks is a cool place to stop for dinner. Mr Don Jack him self cooks your dinner and allows you to go to the store and grab your own beer or drink to have in his restaurant. The service is slow but worth it. We ordered two of the chicken curry and it was so good and so much food!

We enjoyed our dinner at Don Jacks. Yes, you had to go and get drinks from the store across the street, but we don’t see it as a problem, rather a positive thing for backpacker budget. 😄 we had vegetarian curry and chicken quesadilla and were both very happy with our meals. Definitely recommend eating here while in Leon.

We had 2 very good meals at Don Jack's and can highly recommend it. The English-speaking owner is direct, which we found very refreshing and we had a good conversation with him. Drinks are not served, but you can get them from the kiosk next door and get glasses for them. For us it was one of the best meals we had in Nicaragua. Really very tasty and individual. There were international dishes made from regional ingredients - we had, among other things, an extensive curry with fish and avocado, which tasted very reminiscent of Asian cuisine. Definitely not a typical tourist place, but an exciting experience.

The food was great, and we both had the vegetarian Coconut Curry, which was really tasty. Jack, the owner, is very friendly and his service was excellent. We had a great time and would definitely recommend it.

I've been to Don Jack's quite a few times since a friend introduced me to the place 4 years ago. Don Jack's has the best hamburgers in Nicaragua, in my personal experience. The prices are very good and and the quality is excellent. He also has vegetarian and coconut chicken curry which are delicious. His French fries are also very good. Don Jack doesn't sell beer, but dinners who wish to enjoy beer with their meal can grab one of the empty liter bottles that Don Jack keeps around (just ask) and walk to the corner AM PM store and use the empty bottle for the deposit on a full liter bottle of beer. He will provided the glasses and open your beer for you. The atmosphere is arty and nice and quiet so you can have a conversation while dining.

An absolute gem. Fabulously delicious and creative curries (coming from an Indian person btw) with a very interesting and eccentric owner/cook in don Jack. Wouldve gone more often if we had more days in Leon
