The atmosphere is very nice, the photos are great. But as for the food, nothing special... overrated. The prices are very high for a tiny meal. I ordered toast dipped in some sauce and it came out soft toast in pure oil. Although it leaves something to be desired, everything else (atmosphere, service) is good.
Beautiful atmosphere, I have nothing to say about the service specifically from the owner, he was super attentive but unfortunately I had a terrible first experience, some friends and I ordered a starter for exactly R$58.00 and they served a dish with an average of 8 shrimp without sauce, without anything, we even thought it had come wrong, I called the waitress and she went there with the cook and came back saying that was it, this after more than 30 minutes of waiting... Summary: they didn't solve our problem, when they saw that we had left they came after us and offered us dinner.
We reserved a table for 30 people, but they weren't prepared to accommodate that many people; they only had one waiter. Later, they made another available, but it was still very poor. Orders were canceled due to delays...
Nice atmosphere, bad and slow service. Shrimp starter with a terrible cost benefit. 60 reais for 8 shrimp.
Terrible experience!!!I arrived and the servers were seated, and the place was hot because the switchboard was down. I wanted a glass of wine but received no assistance. I asked for sparkling water, and the water I ordered was the same one they sell at the traffic light. INDAIÁ. I raised my hand twice, and the server was on the phone (note: my table was the only one there). We ordered an appetizer, and the shrimp was noticeably over-oiled, and the shrimp wasn't fresh; it was rubbery to eat. Unfortunately, I made a mistake by taking my girlfriend to this place. We wanted to celebrate an important occasion, and we only had a bad experience. I don't recommend it! We had to go somewhere else to finish our evening.
I give A'mar five stars. The restaurant has the main thing going for it: excellent food. I ordered octopus risotto, and it arrived quickly at my table. The dish is a good serving for one person who eats well or two people who eat less. The price is fair, and the ambiance is beautiful, with bright architecture that matches the overall feel of the place. I should also highlight the excellent service provided by the waitresses, Jeane, who was very friendly. Likewise, I made a point of congratulating the chef, Suelen, who, by the way, came to my table. In addition to the octopus risotto, she made a very tasty gorgonzola steak. A'mar is a great place to chat and enjoy a good meal. I recommend it!
The place is beautiful! But the service is terrible. Terrible, two Aperols and simply no sparkling wine. LOL It's really laughable! The basic drink was out of stock and they had to buy it.
Yesterday, February 15, 2025, I went to the establishment for the first time to celebrate a friend's birthday. Terrible experience. We were the first to arrive and they don't even have the manners to welcome customers, they didn't take us to the table, they didn't even come with the menu to welcome us, the waiters are completely unprepared. They took a long time to serve us, even though we were the only ones in the restaurant. The service was well below what was expected for the place. Some options on the menu were either not available, or the waitress had to check if they were available and didn't come back with the answer. We ordered a traditional appetizer, steak with fries, and it took a long time to arrive, and when it arrived, the meat was extremely dry, tough and cold. I also ordered a caipiroska with national strawberry vodka, it also took too long to arrive, only two drinks (I repeat, we were the only ones in the restaurant), my order was also wrong, they brought lemon caipirinha. And I said it was wrong and the waitress replied saying that I asked for “national”, and I said that national was the vodka! 🫠🤦🏼‍♀️ In other words, she has no training whatsoever and doesn’t even know how to differentiate between national and imported. The service was very disorganized, a complete disappointment. And my friend’s drink was the “amar” drink, it had the pure flavor of lemon!Little variety of dishes, very average compared to the other more famous restaurants in Belém. The atmosphere is nothing special, it’s pretty, but from the photos it looked like it was something MUCH BETTER.I don’t know if I’ll go back, honestly... it needs to change a lot! As a businesswoman, I know the costs and the desire to make it work. But you need to improve and keep up with your business. I found it VERY AMATEUR, leaving a lot to be desired. 😕
Horrible experience, I couldn't eat it because it took over two hours. My friend ordered a dish that took a long time to arrive and even got the wrong one.
