Terrible
I went to Arturito on a Wednesday, accompanied by my wife. The place is spacious and modern, but not exactly cozy. We sat at a small table, very close to another one that was also occupied — which compromised comfort. There were high expectations for the experience, but unfortunately they were not met. The drinks were well-made, the dishes were beautiful and well-prepared. The octopus, for example, was tender, but without any intense flavor — as Jacquin would say: no salt, no pepper. As a homebrewer who occasionally makes ciders, out of curiosity, I ordered the Sidra Selvagem III, listed on the wine list. I didn't like it, but that was a personal choice. The problem was that, when I came back from the bathroom, I realized that the bottle was on the counter and not in the champagne cooler, with other bottles of white wine and sparkling wine, which compromises the ideal temperature. When I asked to see the bottle, I saw that it was the Sidra Selvagem II, and not the III as on the menu and requested. When asked, the waitress was unable to explain and called another waitress, who blamed the error on the printer. A few minutes later, a gentleman (possibly the maître d') appeared to say that Cider II was served because Cider III was out of stock — but that "it was no problem, since the price was the same." This reduced the product change to a mere issue of price, ignoring the customer's experience. Perhaps the change did not change the quality, but I do not agree with the answer. Overall, the service was formal and basic. Apart from the cider episode, there were no serious flaws — but there was no charm either. I was in São Paulo on business and took advantage of a special dinner. Despite everything, the company made the evening worthwhile. But unfortunately, the Arturito was well below our expectations.
Very good food, 10/10. The menu was very limited, with two types of meat, two types of fish, and two types of pasta. The wine list included only one Argentine wine, and the atmosphere was super cozy. The service was excellent; everyone who served us was very attentive. I loved the linen napkins and the smell of baking bread that filled the air.
17 reais for house water, served in a glass and not in a bottle? I thought it was bad.
Depending on what you want, it's not worth it at all. The atmosphere is nice, but the service on the day was average. They got my order wrong and it took a long time. And as for the meat, at least there are many better and cheaper places. The fun in the dish is in what it shouldn't be. I ordered ribs and the creamed corn was the best thing. Expensive bill, average service, average food.
