This place is a gem in downtown Santa Marta. Good multi course dining experience. Amazing entrees and main courses. Desserts were well put together as well. We got to interact with the owner/chef, she definitely brings the A game to her cuisine.The grilled grouper was my favorite, accompanied with well made potato puree.

Excellent service and attention!

We visited Basilea with friends who told us to come along. The restaurant was really good looking, and the service was great. Food was really good (Presidential Mero is outstanding) and we were complemented with a dessert. Chef Margarita was present and helped us with items on the menu, and enhanced some dishes with last-minute tweaks, which proved to be great. In general, this is a great choice for lunch or dinner but beware, prices are the highest we have ever seen in SMR. Very expensive restaurant with excellent service and very good food.

Really good food! We went early for lunch and received excellent attention.
