As a LOCAL, who knows this place since the 60’s, I just can tell you that it has become a tourist trap. Food quality has gone down terribly. Though the service is good, food is no more worth it. Return a “huachinango a la veracruzana”. Because it was just fish in tomatoes sauce. “A la veracruzana” needs capers, olives, tiny potato’s, chopped tomato sauce, chile güero, and a good sea bass . 😢 Will not come back ever again.

There is student music, very pleasant, the historic building is luxurious.

The place has history, the service is average, it's nice and comfortable, but the prices are outrageous. The price is extremely high for what you get in return.

A modest entrance hides a classically beautiful interior. The staff are all polite and efficient, providing excellent service throughout. The food is traditional and on the pricier side, expect to spend around 400 pesos per person. The decor features religious symbols and paintings that add to the unique atmosphere. It’s a popular spot, so it can get a bit noisy, but overall, it's a charming and enjoyable experience.
