(re)Living history, a beautiful environment with delicious options!
As always, a place of pure nostalgia. Great sweets, great savory snacks, great service. A negative point that I always forget when I go, I only pay in cash or debit card.
Beautiful atmosphere, delicious sweets and fairer prices than its more famous competitor.
Historic place, good food, but the prices are not that affordable!
Everything is wonderful. I loved the glass door at the entrance. Congratulations.
I wanted to visit this bakery because it is the oldest in Rio de Janeiro, because of its history and because I wanted to try the sweets. I tried a savory option, a ricotta and plum pastry. The dough reminded me of a pie. The filling was tasty, but more sweet than savory. I tried some sweet options, with puff pastry, cookies and filled pastries. They are too sweet for my taste, but they are tasty. I liked the puff pastry and apple filling, very good, and the cocoa cookies with cinnamon, perfect. The place is small, but cozy, with details. The service was very good, the girls were all attentive. The prices are even affordable.
I highly recommend Casa Cavé to anyone visiting Rio. It's a traditional, vintage space that maintains the charm of the original building and serves the best pastéis de nata in Rio de Janeiro. I also recommend the delicious polka (glazed puff pastry with delicious fresh whipped cream and a strawberry). It's the ideal place to have tea with friends.
