I went to see the spectacular Rubber Era environmentsThis hotel, or rather, hostel, would deserve 3 stars out of 5, but I'm only giving it 1, mainly due to a very serious flaw. The double rooms have two different beds, one large and one single. First time I've seen this. But the worst thing is that the single bed had the worst mattress I've ever seen. An old, super-sagging spring mattress. Uncomfortable!
Of course, I asked for a solution, and they changed our room. It was only slightly better. It's unacceptable that a supposedly 4-star hotel has such rubbish mattresses.
The room was very spacious but had a rather unpleasant smell, something between insecticide and old plumbing.
And by the way, Google says it's a hotel and restaurant. Not at all; they only serve breakfast, generous but of average-to-low quality, for guests.Huge rooms, lovely antique atmosphere, top notch breakfast - what a fantastic stay!This was such a surprise! It's gorgeous, and very well priced! The rooms are very spacious, with super high ceilings and all this beautiful antique furniture. The hallways are also spacious, and decorated so nicely! And there is a pool! And hot water in the shower!
The staff is friendly and helpful, and the location is great. Nice restaurants nearby, and a view to the beautiful river. Wow!
