It's a very nice place, and they have very professional service. I would add a mini winery to replicate the process on a smaller scale for visitors.
Casa Vigil was amazing. Our sommelier was very professional and knowledgeable. I strongly recommend a visit to Casa Vigil. You will not regret it.
The croquettes were excellent. The potato and leek soup was delicious and hot. The tortilla was cooked very well. The tortilla was soaked with more than 50% raw egg. The hamburger was extremely salty and inedible. The Mendozina empanada was quite spicy. The beef rafout was delicious.
Simply PERFECT! EVERYTHING! Brenda and Melissa took great care of us. The dishes were incredible, without any flaws. The peaceful outdoor atmosphere matches the proposal of the place. It's no wonder this place has 1 Michelin star. I'm so happy to have been able to have this unforgettable experience.
The tasting is not worth it - what a shame! I expected a lot!
Unfortunately, I have to leave this review because the place didn't accept any comments, and the lady, who seems to be one of the managers, is quite "sharp" and completely defensive. In short... 3 SHORT STEPS, an express visit, a wine we only had one glass of. We arrived at 6:15 pm, the table was ready around 7 pm, and we left at 11:35 pm!My partner and I went to the sunset experience, with the idea of getting to know the place and making dinner again in 10 steps. Friends, also foodies like us, recommended it to us after going to the shared kitchen dinner with Catena Zapata.I'm going to be very specific because I imagine this person will want to wash their hands like they did that night with an incoherent response. Our reservation was for 6:30 p.m. We arrived a little early since sunset is much earlier in winter, and by 6:30 p.m., the light would be almost gone, something they should obviously take into account since the experience is called sunsets. From 6:15 p.m. to 6:40 p.m., we waited without any problems since we had arrived earlier, of course. At that time, we asked if we could sit outside since there was no room inside to wait. After ten minutes, after not even receiving a glass of water and freezing to death outside, my partner asked if they could give us the table, since it seemed they'd forgotten they were offering that experience (they could have done the tour while the service was being prepared since it was included in the experience, and at the end of the meal, it seemed like a favor). As we sat down, the service began immediately, with Alessandra (sommelier) in charge of everything at our table. Perhaps because she was the only English speaker, we're not sure, but if it hadn't been for her, I imagine our experience would have been nonexistent. She took excellent care of us in the first half hour, lovingly explaining the wines and food to us. (A waiter served us the olive oil. I asked him how good it was, and he said 50-50 between their two varieties. When Alessandra came to our table, she explained that it's 80-20. If they're going to have an olive oil of that quality, it's truly incredible. And with a high price, commensurate with the quality, of course. At least the staff should have appropriate training and not just go around saying things. You never know who you're talking to, and with a star rating, you expect a little more knowledge from all the staff.) Let's continue. We had a misunderstanding over a bottle of wine we ordered, which seemed to be to-go, so we waited a very long time. No one came to ask if we needed anything else, since we had already finished our meal a long time ago. In fact, before bringing dessert, the guy asked if we wanted another glass of wine, but we told him we didn't want dessert before the bottle we had already ordered. Well, they brought us dessert anyway. Zero communication from the guy to his team, again. We finally found Alessandra, who was obviously super busy with other tables' wine. She brought us the wine and organized the tour while our wine was being "opened," since it was a very good wine and worth the wait. The tour was given in Spanish. It was a very nice story, but very rushed, not even giving me time to translate it into English for my partner. But anyway, we honestly wanted to leave at this point.Upon returning, we had a glass of wine, waited for someone to see us for about 15 minutes, and then, well, we poured the wine into the bottle as best we could from the decanter, otherwise we would have left another hour later. The bill. And we went to the counter to pay.My partner, who is very reserved and prefers not to say much, leaving me to talk to the staff since I've been in this business for over 15 years, told them she'd like to say a few words about the experience. When she briefly told them what happened, this person said, "Well, you did the tour, right? As a favor, and you ordered a wine, right? Yes, the one that took about 40 minutes."
Spectacular 3-course signature meal
