Congratulations on the service.
We had a great time, whether it was the vegetarian Moqueca or the octopus and shrimp one! Then a welcoming and really friendly service!
Delicious food at an affordable price. I recommend it!
We went for the first time, to check it out. I'm from Bahia, Salvador, and this place has been on my list for a while. Since we were craving some good Bahian food, I decided to go with my husband on a Saturday for lunch. We arrived, they set a table for us, we sat down and chose a crab cone as an appetizer. My husband ordered a caipiroska and I ordered a non-alcoholic beer because it was Lent (although it was on the menu, we were told it wasn't available at the restaurant), so I ordered a sparkling water. We waited over 40 minutes for a crab cone that arrived without the cutlery or plate. We asked 2 different waiters for at least the cutlery and it took over 20 minutes to receive it. We ate and decided to order the main course, given how long it took for our orders to arrive. We ordered a lobster, which they didn't have on the menu either. We decided to order the shrimp flambéed in cachaça. It took over an hour to arrive and, again, without plates or cutlery. It took over 20 minutes for them to arrive at our table, even after asking more than 2 waiters. Furthermore, we were informed that the dish would come with a basket of bread, which also came without the bread. We ordered it and it was brought relatively quickly. We ate it, it was ok, nothing spectacular. In the middle of the basket of bread, we found what looked like a piece of raw meat (photo attached). We called the head chef (who was present at the location) and showed her, she removed the basket and didn't even apologize or make a gesture of error. She took the basket and sat on the other side of the sidewalk, playing with her cell phone. While we were there, we noticed several tables complaining about the delay in their orders arriving. The employees were walking around with plates in their hands looking for tables for a long time, looking lost. Very disorganized. Regrettable. I was very disappointed with the place. I don't intend to go back and I don't recommend the experience to anyone. Positive point of the place: The pepper. Spectacular.
Good quality food and service. There is no parking and no air-conditioned parking for the summer. But it was worth the visit. I highly recommend it.
We tried three moquecas in Salvador with similar prices and sizes; As for flavor, the banana and shrimp one at this place was the best. The size of the shrimp (tiny) or the atmosphere on the street are not convincing, compared to the price charged.
Total disappointment! We ordered caipiroscas that never arrived. 40 minutes later, the waiter (completely unprepared) told us that the fruit we had chosen for our drinks was missing. We changed the fruit and waited more than half an hour for the blessed 'roscas' to arrive: they had forgotten to place the new order! The appetizers took a long time too and were nothing special for the price charged. The waiter (the unprepared one) explained the dish I was interested in and, unsurprisingly, a dish arrived that had nothing to do with the one I had chosen. I decided not to ask for a change because I was going to wait a long time! The vinaigrette on the dish was overdone, with a questionable smell and flavor. I lost my mood and the will to stay in the restaurant. And, while the customers waited forever to eat anything (the girls at the next table were forgotten for an hour without anyone serving them), the owner of the restaurant calmly drank her chilled white wine with her friends without even realizing that her establishment was disappearing in the heat of Salvador. It is worth mentioning that it was a summer Friday, before the Iemanjá festival and the city was bustling with people. And as for the bathroom structure in the house, I won't even comment. Never again with a window.
