Unfortunately, the place has lost its essence... I was a regular customer, and last time, despite knowing there would be no more all-you-can-eat buffet, I decided to try the à la carte menu because the owner told me the prices would be the same. They're not! Never again! I prefer a conventional steakhouse. The quality of everything is excellent, but that's not what this is about.
Even though we lived more centrally, we always went there. The meat experience, while more expensive than traditional steakhouses, was worth it. Now it makes no sense not to go to a steakhouse. I think if the justification is waste, we just need to improve logistics and communication with customers regarding the quantities ordered, explaining that they need to control what's ordered, especially in large groups. Not to mention that waste exists in conventional steakhouses too! In any case, it's impossible not to imagine how difficult it is for a restaurant to charge 200 reais and still lose money. My girlfriend shouldn't eat 300g of meat every time she goes. Such a shame.
We were regulars at the restaurant, going at least once a month. In our opinion, the main difference was the meat experience. When we learned this option was no longer available, the owner told us that no one had complained, that it was better, etc. It's not better! The side dishes are very affordable, but the premium cuts like rack of lamb, entrecote, and salmon are not. It used to be a festival with excellent value. We tried it; it was by far a bad place, but now it's on par with many other restaurants in the city with equal or better quality and very similar prices.
Great restaurant. I've eaten there several times and also "à la carte", quality food. There are many options. Some days there is live music. There is free parking in front.
I went because as soon as I saw it online, there was an advertisement for a buffet or something similar. When I visited, that option was gone. The experience was basic and didn't justify the trip or the cost. It wasn't bad, but the expectations were higher than the delivery. In Porto Alegre, there are many other, much better options in the same price range.
