Very good restaurant, good that even in carnaval was no people there , where all were busy , we had amazing lunch with friends and all food was super tasty . And very good view on beach . Service was fast and very polite . Highly recommend this place

A place that delivers everything, from the reception to the end, the dishes are excellent, the service is extremely personalized, the atmosphere is very pleasant. The view is a chapter in itself. Don't forget to try the Macunaíma drink

Restaurant inside the Janeiro Hotel, in front of Leblon beach. It is on the 2nd floor with a view of the sea. The staff is well trained and the food is excellent. The couvert is R$25 and has a delicious charcoal olive oil. Starters: Roasted pumpkin (R$68); Beef tartare (R$78); Cheese board (R$142); Grilled scallops (R$122). Main dishes: Octopus rice with Minas Gerais sausage (R$112); Grilled fish with bok choy and Brazilian broad beans (R$106); Cut of the day with yam and heart of palm (R$118). Desserts: Mille feuille with banana brulée (R$44); Chocolate custard with caramel, sesame seeds and fleur de sel (R$46).

We went for drinks and dinner at the Hotel Janeiro restaurant on Wednesday. We had planned this visit for over a year and, to our disappointment, the bar had moved to the second floor of the hotel, because the ground floor was being renovated and covered by hoardings. We had previously been attracted by the upbeat vibe emanating from the bar on the ground floor. Due to the renovations, we had to sit inside, next to the window, but the beautiful view was covered by dirty glass.The service was friendly. The drinks, although very expensive (around R$60 per drink), were delicious and were the highlight of the dinner. I ordered a fish starter (around R$70) and received 5 tiny slices of white fish sashimi with 2 mini raw zucchini flowers. I lost the enthusiasm to order another dish. We also ordered linguine with clams, which was completely bland. I expected that, given the luxury of the hotel and its location, the prices would be high, but the quality would be consistent, which unfortunately did not happen. We won't be back.
