Concept somehow reminds me two of my personal a-list dinin’ experiences - Sfumato in Dubai by Alena , and Meteora in Los Angeles by Jordan. It’s almost there. I’m not regularly eating sweets cuz I’m livin sugar free happy life, but desserts are good here, for sure. Come for try the desserts
We had high expectations for this gastronomic experience, both due to the venue's reputation and our own passion for cooking, as we are chefs. However, while the service was mostly good, some details at the end left an impression that fell short of expectations. The sommelier's explanation was excellent, but we were surprised that the wine wasn't served directly to the table. We also expected a bit more from the desserts, but the creativity and use of ingredients were good. One of the aspects that most disconcerted us was the treatment toward the end of the experience. As guests, we believe we are customers until the moment we leave, not just until we pay. We weren't escorted to the exit, nor were we shown around Mater, which was a part of the tour we were very excited to see. When we tried to do so on our own, a Central waiter directed us to the exit as if we were unnecessary, which wasn't a pleasant feeling. In addition, we noticed unequal treatment. Another table was led outside before dessert, given more information about the restaurant's concept, and given a brochure detailing what they had consumed… We believe attention to detail in the customer experience should be the same for everyone. We expected more.
The food was fresh and flavorful, and the staff was very professional.
Kjolle is a world-class restaurant. From the moment you arrive, you're taken care of, whether exploring the garden or visiting the Mater space they have for the two main restaurants, Central and Kjolle. The restaurant is quite simple, with plenty of space between tables, and the chefs (I assume from the cold areas) are very visible next to the tables. The menu is very comprehensive—I'm uploading all the photos—and very well explained, depending on which part of Peru the ingredients come from. Great attention to detail throughout.
Fantastic experience in every way, but especially due to the friendliness of the service team.
The food and drinks were amazing. Great flavor combinations. The man serving and explaining the drinks was great too. So was the chef that came out to bring me one of the dishes. They should do more of that. Otherwise, I felt like I was treated as an afterthought. Tables that came after me were done before me, and I had to ask someone to get me the check because I was just waiting awkwardly in the middle of the restaurant for a while after I was finally served my last course. When my main server eventually came over, he asked me if anyone had asked me if I wanted coffee. He should’ve asked me… That ended up making the experience disappointing. As someone who’s worked in restaurants for years, every table should be given prompt and equal attention.
For a fine dining experience you will get all that you want. And it’s a million times better then central - though I’m not sure why the rest of the world doesn’t see that. Get their bread and butter - the butter is some of the best I’ve ever had.
The experience, overall, was pleasant. From the entrance, you can see the attention to detail: you enter through a beautiful garden, which leads to an equally beautiful and well-appointed house. Everything is in line with what one would expect from a restaurant of this level.The service is excellent, very attentive and professional, as befits a high-end gastronomic offering. The same goes for the presentation of the dishes, which is impeccable: each uni arrives at the table like a small work of art, reflecting technique and creativity.As for the flavor, the dishes are good, but they don't quite wow. Given the prestige and price of the place, I was expecting something more memorable or impactful on the palate. The level is good, but it doesn't quite dazzle as one might expect.In my opinion, I wish they would offer the à la carte menu again. Personally, I would go back for the ribs, which were the dish I enjoyed most of the entire experience.
