It's a quiet restaurant most of the time. The food is tasty and the portions are generous. If you're in Santa María la Ribera, you should try it. It's one of my favorite restaurants. The empanadas have always been my favorites. I think I've known them for 30 years, ever since I was leaving school and stopping by for my empanada. The taste still reminds me of that time in my life. Thank you ☺️
Super delicious.I tried the tasting menu. The portions and seasoning of the dishes are very good. The service is friendly, the place is pretty, and they're well-organized.I recommend the borscht and the honey cake. The only (very minor) problem was that it took a long time to give me the bill.
Today, around 8:30 p.m., we arrived at Kolobok Santa María, the restaurant on the corner. Although there were tables available inside, the servers were in the kitchen, and after several attempts to get us noticed, they saw us and suggested we go to the other restaurant next door. Their attitude was as if they no longer wanted to serve us.We decided to move to the other restaurant (which also belongs to the restaurant), and from the start, the experience was disappointing. We were assigned a table that wasn't clean, and it took the server about 10 minutes to bring us the menus, only after we reminded him. It's worth mentioning that at that time, there were only four tables occupied and two servers on duty.We ordered our dishes and a pitcher of clericot, which arrived with only three or four apple slices and no wine flavor, practically juice. We ordered a package of empanadas that included flavored water, which never arrived, although it was included in the final bill. We also ordered pelmeni, which usually come with broth and cream, but this time they arrived dry, without either. The salmon skewers, which were previously served with salad and spaghetti, arrived without salad. The wait time for all of this was approximately 40 minutes.During the meal, we asked for sauce three times, and the waiter simply said, "I'll bring it right away," but he never came back, even though he was wandering around doing nothing in particular. In the end, I got annoyed enough to ask to speak to the manager. I don't know if he really was, but a young man came forward and apologized.I sincerely hope they can resolve these shortcomings. Although the food at Kolobok used to be delicious, without good service, there's no experience that can make up for it. I've been here several times, but I think this was the last. I don't recommend it. We paid approximately $1,200 MXN for two people, only to end up feeling poorly served.
Only the beef stroganoff was good. And the honey cake.
No people eating here, and they were incredibly slow. I was served by Xochilt Gonzalez, whose attitude was terrible. I had to call her over, since she didn't even look up at me to ask if I wanted anything. She was not very friendly, and her attitude was terrible.
Very tasty and good service
