We had a great time at this restaurant, which serves Italian cuisine with local inspiration. We are demanding, and we really found our dishes to be tasty and very generous. On top of that, the manager is adorable and speaks perfect French. The wine selection was also superb. If you are passing through Coban, and you want something a little different from traditional Guatemalan cuisine, La Abadia is the place to go :)

Small (5 tables) , intimate place with great ambiance and superb food . Wonderful host , great service (polite and prompt) . I am German and I have a hard time finding anything wrong with this place . Oh wait , street noise (busy street) , yes , but who am I to say that is not part of Coban‘s old part of town atmosphere ?

Excellent customer service to share with your partner

The atmosphere was extremely welcoming, and the host couldn't have been nicer. The quality of the food was exceptional from the first moment. I started with a mousse delicately infused with beetroot, a true delight, perfectly accompanied by a Chilean Carmenere wine that enhanced the flavours. Afterwards, I enjoyed an exquisite seafood pasta that exceeded my expectations. To close with a flourish, the dessert: flambéed pears with blue cheese, a perfect combination. Without a doubt, a memorable culinary experience.

Excellent place for Italian food for dinner- we've gone twice now. They are great for people with allergies - gluten free and lactose free options. Delicious pasta and great wines, fantastic service. Very cute place too!
