La Bierhaus

As authentic as you can get from a German Bierhaus in Merida. Lots of German beers and local beers too! Sausages, and schnitzel too! Check it out! Servers only spoke Spanish.

The imported beer is incredible I recommend it

Restaurant with a large selection of beers. The drinks are reasonably priced. The food was below average and not that good. The food was not good value for money. The service was generally okay, but the food was not served at the same time. The restrooms were very dirty.

If you are looking for a European (German-inspired) alternative, this restaurant is definitely recommended.First night – great experience: We ordered a delicious platter with meat, sausage, cheese and flammkuchen, combined with a nice Weizenbier. Everything tasted good, especially the meats and cheese, and the atmosphere was pleasant. The fries with paprika powder were also a nice touch. The service was quick, friendly and attentive. In short: a successful evening.Second night – unfortunately a lot less: We decided to go back again, but this time it was unfortunately a bit disappointing. The Wienerschnitzel was fortunately very good – as you would get them in Germany – but the flammkuchen was a big disappointment. Weak, little taste and nothing like the original German version. A real waste of money. We would definitely not recommend this.The service was also clearly worse this time. It seemed as if everyone was mainly busy preparing because "the boss was coming", and we were ignored for a long time. We eventually had to get the menu ourselves, and it took a long time before someone came to take our order.Additional negative points: • No Weizen beer on tap, which is a loss for a place that profiles itself as a beer restaurant. The beer menu looks impressive, but in the end they only had two types of Weizen available from a bottle. A missed opportunity. • The consistency between the two evenings was striking: from a great experience to a somewhat disappointing one.The beer is also quite expensive in comparison, a Weizen beer €7.50Conclusion: The first time was really enjoyable, but the second time left a lot to be desired. Bierhaus is nice for once if you feel like something European with a beer! 4 stars!
