It's a shame. That even today, in 2025, there are restaurants like this where you arrive for lunch and there are more than four tables available. The waiter has to tell me I have to wait for a table for someone else. A couple of elderly people who were still having lunch. I politely asked him to please serve me because I only had time for lunch and hadn't had breakfast. But he insisted I had to wait, with the restaurant at less than half capacity. I thanked him and left the register. And I asked for the complaints book. To my surprise, the man at the register confirmed they didn't have one. I've been there for lunch before. But how important it is to serve just one diner, like a family. This won't stay like this. It's an act of discrimination. For which they will have to answer to INDECOPI. For not having a complaints book. And for discriminating against a single customer in a restaurant at half capacity. Afterwards, I went to Buenos Aires to have lunch without any problem at Doña Chelito, which is smaller and they had no problem serving me.
Classic restaurant in Trujillo, serving typical regional dishes. Highly recommended!
Best restaurant in Trujillo for many years. They have best local food including cabrito( baby goat), duck, shambar a bean soup served only Mondays. It's seafood is really good. Prices are fair, service is good. Basic atmosphere but we all go for the food I had the pescado a lo macho today, it was outstanding, a nice piece of seabass with a creamy spicy sauce w mix seafood.
Its entrance streets are deteriorated and there is no garage. The food is good Creole, and so is the service.
Very good Creole food, highly recommended
The seafood dishes leave much to be desired, but the Creole ones are finger-licking good.
I went to the restaurant today and ordered fried guinea pig with ajiaco. They gave me 2 pieces of guinea pig, one of them was crunchy, but the other piece I couldn't eat, it was very hard, the guinea pig was old since the skin was impossible to split. I asked for it to be changed and they told me that it was already gone, but they continued bringing guinea pig to the next table, in my case they just fried it again, they told me to take my plate and talk to the cook, I explained to her that the skin of the guinea pig was very hard, she instead of responding to my request, grabbed the guinea pig with her hands, tore it to pieces, threw the guinea pig on the plate and took it away. Instead of solving the problem by changing the guinea pig for another, he demonstrated his lack of education and service. When I asked for the complaints book they told me they didn't have it, by law they should have it. I don't recommend this restaurant at all! Bad service and bad food!
Good service, location and nice food.
Shambar well made and well served
