We went with high expectations. When we entered, the place was very welcoming. The open kitchen was very relentless, with delicious smells emanating from the kitchen. The appetizer was promising and didn't disappoint. We ordered garlic bread with mozzarella and crispy pork, which were very good. A sangria, which cost S/. 75.00 a liter (I give it a 7 out of 10 pts), could have been better, especially for the price. The main courses were wok-fried sirloin with Huancaína fettuccine (I give it a 6 out of 10 pts). The pasta was good, the meat flavor was quite acceptable, but the meat was cooked on the tough side. It seems the kitchen doesn't master the cooking of meat, which is very important if you pay S/. 66 soles for a dish, the meat must be cooked impeccably. We ordered a dish called Bisteca, which is a medallion of rump steak with pesto fettuccine. The pasta was very good, but the meat was disappointing again. The service was impeccable. The waitress who served us was very attentive to the end, always concerned about our well-being. She realized we weren't satisfied with the dishes and offered us a complimentary dessert. The service was 10. Note: In a pasta restaurant that charges an average of 100 soles per person, they can't charge you 15 soles for asking for a little Parmesan cheese. That's crazy. You don't do that in any high-end trattoria, which is why you charge what you charge for a dish. Finally, when they ask for the Parmesan cheese, you tell them you'll charge extra or that there's an additional charge. And then you decide whether to order it or not. It's a shame, which is why you're surprised when they bring you the bill. The 3 stars are mainly for the service.
Pretty nice place, good service
Very good pasta seasoning with a cheerful and welcoming atmosphere 🥰
Very cozy atmosphere✨
Good service
Until today, I'd had a good experience with Massamilia. The atmosphere was very welcoming, the Italian food was some of the best I've had in the city, and the service was always excellent. The lower rating is based on our experience with the new breakfast menu they've opened. Based on the aforementioned previous experience, we decided to try a humita (a type of bread), two sandwiches, a frappé, and a hot chocolate. We ordered it for pickup in the store, and we got off to a bad start with the cost of the 3 soles each, the same clear plastic container they give out everywhere for between 50 cents and 1 sol. The frappé was very sweet; the bread they used for the sandwiches was stale and had the distinct taste of not being fresh; everything else was average in terms of flavor. It's a shame, since there are much cheaper options that are equal to or better than what we tried. If you're looking for a place with good Italian food, then Massamilia is definitely recommended. However, I would not recommend it for other formats unfortunately.
Everything very nice and tasty, good weather
