Life led me to Merendero Krisna, and although it was a curious experience, I recommend skipping it.The staff is attentive, but blunt and lacking in charisma.Regarding the food, I cheated a bit because I saw the reviews and went straight for the safe option: 1/4 fried chicken with Coca-Cola ($6.50 total). I must say I was quite satisfied with the portion size and flavor. But someone in the group ordered the garlic lonja (fish fillet) and it was literally inedible. It tasted like a fish fillet that's been in the freezer for over a month, with the rancid flavor masked by seasoning.If you ever get a chance, go straight for the chicken, grilled meat, or fried fish. They're edible, cheap, and the portions are generous. Avoid the other seafood options at all costs, or you might have an unpleasant experience.Otherwise, the place is cool, clean, and comfortable for spending time overlooking the lake.DON’T COME! This place is a sham. We came here on a Monday for lunch. It wasn’t full and we got a table for 6 immediately. The other two places were packed. That should have been our sign not to come. Anyway, we asked for 4 mojarras fritas for $6. The server told us they were super tiny and recommended the $8 ones. We got 3 of the $8 ones and still ordered a $6 for my mom. Welp, when they came they were ALL the same size! We asked if we had all been given the $6 ones to which the server didn’t know so she went to get the cook. Granted, we thought they were $6 because god they were tiny. So the cook comes and gives us this bogus story that they are all actually $8 and they ran out of the $6 but would still “honor” the $6 for my mom even though it was technically $8. What? They were tiny! We ordered a carne asada with chorizo to not get any chorizo. Luckily I took pictures right after we got our food otherwise we’d be screwed. They will scam you if they see you’re a tourist Period. None of us got really full with the food and we paid $42.50. Please don’t come!! Later don’t say you weren’t warned. I will NEVER come again. The server girl was really nice.This very bad service, the food is not good and the worst thing is that they overcharge you if they offer you an $8 fish they give you a $6 ♂️🤷🏻 I don't recommend itThey don't listen and they take a while to get the billThe place is a bit dirty, the service is terrible, and they take too long to get just a plate of food.The service here was phenomenal. Visited with my family and we ordered a lot of food. Despite being busy, the food did not take very long. My husband LOVED the pupusas. The carne asada had so much flavor. My kids ate all their food which is RARE so they truly enjoyed their meals. They also had a small swing set with a slide that the kids played on while we waited for food.Yes, it takes a little while to bring the food but the waiters are very delicious and very friendly!! 100% recommendedBad service, I didn't think so, very late, I don't recommend itThe service and food were not good. It was a waste of my time and money. But next time I know I won't come again.They take a long time to bring the order, and I don't recommend the pupusas, they don't taste good. They also owed us the curtido, they only gave us salsa.
