We went on my birthday and everything was perfect. They gave us a special treat, aside from the delicious food. We ordered four appetizers, four main courses, two desserts, and drinks, and everything was perfect. The best of the night were the shrimp uchepos and the creamy shrimp with truffle oil.Everything was excellent; I have no doubt why this restaurant was nominated for one of the best restaurants.

I was really looking forward to trying this restaurant and I have mixed feelings, the menu is quite promising, I love places that experiment with ingredients in Mexican cuisine and put a twist on the traditional, we tried the octopus, which I think is a solid dish but not spectacular, the ossobuco which I loved the flavors but I found it a little salty and I recommend it to share because it is a very well served dish, we also tried the ribs in mole honey and I loved their selection of mezcals and craft beers.

We went to Micaela on the recommendation of several people, and it truly exceeded our expectations. We ordered an octopus tostada “just to try” it… and ended up ordering three. Spectacular! The risotto-style rice is also a must, as are the molotes. Every dish that arrived at the table was a complete success—thoughtful flavors, beautiful presentations, and generous portions.The only thing that wasn't so pleasant was the treatment of our waitress, Jaqueline. From the start, she seemed upset because we were assigned a table that apparently she wasn't happy with, and throughout the meal, she made several comments that made us feel uncomfortable. In such a spectacular place, it's a shame that something as simple as a person's attitude can mar the experience.I told the staff how I felt, and they were super kind: they surprised me with a birthday cake, which I really appreciate. That's precisely why I decided to leave this comment here. Because Micaela is an incredible place, with a cuisine you'll fall in love with, and nothing—or no one—should take away from that.P.S. Send some beers to the kitchen!!

I absolutely LOVED THIS PLACE! Without a doubt, if you visit Merida, you have to come here! We were lucky enough to find a place without a reservation, but I recommend you make one because you might not find one. The food was EXCELLENT! The flavor and quality of the food was truly a gastronomic experience. We ordered several appetizers and main courses, and I can recommend the creamy shrimp rice. Wow, a true delight. My favorite appetizer was the corn and shrimp tamales. We also ordered the osobusco (a type of stew), ribs, bone marrow, tuna and duck tacos, and the cocoa and corn desserts. I RECOMMEND EVERYTHING! The service was super attentive; I would go back a thousand times.

Great place with delicious and ingenious twist of typical dishes . We had an oopsie with one of the dishes but the staff was quick to solve the issue. We had lentils with pork belly and octopus that tasted like BBQ but better :). Higher than average prices but the food is worth it.
