I made reservations months in advance. Showed up from out of town for my birthday to find that the restaurant is closed for renovations. It would have been nice to be contacted
If you're really looking for a gastronomic experience, I think this place is a great option. The food is delicious, the service is very good, and I think the prices are in line with the cuisine and even the quality of the products.I highly recommend ordering several things so you can try a little bit of everything. There are options on the menu that make this easier, but it still depends on how hungry you are and what you want to try. It's definitely worth coming. Personally, I recommend making a reservation to avoid waiting. It's definitely a good place to eat.
Today we had to attend to celebrate Mother's Day, where we ordered the special menu for the holiday. For starters we ordered a delicious Caesar salad, for the main course it was a pasta with mozzarella cheese, cherry tomato and brisket which had balanced flavors and was ready to cook, and for dessert, a white chocolate oyster with vanilla mouse and strawberry gel.It was an excellent experience, with impeccable service, very friendly, the dishes served in good portions and excellent presentation, the place very clean, well decorated and very comfortable. We will surely return soon!
The food was according to the expectations of the place. I have been to places like Arpège or Eleven Madison and, obviously, you don't expect the same quality, but I reiterate that it met my expectations according to the place. The service, from the moment I walked in, felt tense and forced, and I didn't fully understand why that was the case. Just when I reached the last section to qualify, I understood it: the "atmosphere". I will tell you about my experience: selecting the place to eat, ordering, waiting for my dish and, as an "atmosphere", hearing shouts, rudeness and expletives from a mature lady towards a young man. I have no idea what he could have done, but I know that I don't see how someone can receive such treatment with the desire to humiliate. There are many places to work; Look for one that gives decent treatment. They have the National Human Rights Commission a few meters away. Having decent treatment at work falls within their fundamental rights, and they can file complaints in that place and even online, since it is evident that they are being violated. Personally, I will not stand in that place again, because it is clear to me that their human quality towards their collaborators is lacking, despicable and without values. The treatment of those who should be considered their best asset is regrettable: their staff. They probably don't care about losing a customer, but with such poor treatment, it's a matter of time before they lose customers, staff, and more. I strongly suggest that the owners audit and evaluate their administrative staff, which leaves much to be desired and creates a tense environment, even for the diner.
The overall experience was good, although there were several details that could be improved. The 6-course dinner cost $1,500, which seemed quite affordable considering the presentation of the dishes and that they use good ingredients. You can tell that they are eager and apply various cooking techniques that are normally seen in more expensive places. The bad thing is that, although everything looked very good, the flavor was not always at the same level. Some times were rich, but others had errors that detracted from the experience. Nothing terrible, but it does show that they lack a little execution. What really disappointed me was the service. The waiter hardly showed up, never asking if everything was okay or if I wanted anything else. I had to look for him to be able to ask him something. Curiously, the one who was most attentive was the guy who was in charge of the cutlery, much more friendly and present. In short: they need to refine the flavor but above all, improve the service.
