Very charming and cozy restaurant, efficient and friendly service and top food
The bistro serves delicious food. One of my favorite dishes is the pork rice, which is incredibly tasty and I've never seen it anywhere else. The service is excellent; I've always been well looked after. The atmosphere is cozy, with indirect lighting, French background music, and Brazilian Popular Music. Prices outside the executive menu may be higher, but the experience is worth it.
Always a guarantee of excellent food with superb service and fine wines in the Casa Forte square where we celebrated our wedding anniversary with our dear friend Father Edvaldo Gomes every year for now, once a month, always on Fridays...
The atmosphere was filled with an overpowering perfume that ruined any positive experience. The atmosphere is carefully decorated and pleasant. The food is refined and requires a more discerning palate than mine to fully appreciate. I don't feel it justifies the price. Main courses were well-served, desserts were small. Service was sometimes rude, sometimes friendly, depending on the person serving.
An intimate atmosphere, nice music (jazz), not too loud, which made me really like it there.
The main course was good, but the dessert was a huge disappointment. I go to high-end restaurants for different taste experiences, and I go mainly for the dessert. I ordered chocolate terrine with orange ganache. The brownie arrived, overly sweet, the kind you find anywhere, with NO orange at all—a brownie no one would pay 39 reais for. I expected the ice cream that came with it to be made in-house, served in a quenelle. No such thing. Disappointed.
The atmosphere is very pleasant, and Guilherme's service is excellent. There's one waitress who's a little less attentive to details, but that's okay.As for the food, there are a few options that feature Primma Donna cheese, like the filet with a Primma Donna crust and a petit gateau with the same ingredient. I really like it, but it can get a bit repetitive.I really like the shrimp with the Marrakech aroma. There's also the option to try Babette's quail, not exactly the same (in the sarcophagus), but very similar. The ducks there are very good. The Pato do Tonca was the 2021 Good Memories Dish, a shame they probably don't make it anymore. There are few dessert options, but the ones I tried were very good.It must be one of the best restaurants in Mauritius City.
