Better meat.

I would like to report my experience at the Pobre Juan restaurant, VillageMall unit, on June 12, 2025, on Valentine's Day.I was accompanied by a friend, and that night we consumed a bottle of wine and each of us a piece of meat — as stated on the receipt (which I can forward). The service was excellent, including when I had to ask for a change of meat, which initially came well-done, even though I had asked for it slightly underdone. The change was made willingly, but the new meat came extremely underdone, with some parts raw. Even so, I selected the parts at the point I preferred and ate only those.I left the restaurant feeling fine. However, the next day I woke up with serious symptoms: intense vomiting, diarrhea, nausea and a complete inability to drink water, food or take oral medication. I spent the whole day feeling weak and had to seek medical attention, where I was diagnosed with gastroenteritis. The only form of medication available was intravenously, since nothing would stay in the stomach.I would like to point out that on the 12th, the only meal I had was at the restaurant, and I was perfectly fine before that. It was a one-off decision to eat meat — something I usually avoid — precisely because of the trust I had placed in the restaurant. After all, it is a renowned restaurant, specialized in meats, with a great reputation, including seals of excellence such as Michelin Star, Pirelli and Prêmio Prazeres da Mesa, among other recognitions. In other words, I would never have imagined that something like this could happen in an establishment of this level.Unfortunately, what was supposed to be a special evening turned into a real physical and emotional upheaval. I went an entire day without eating, feeling weak and very frustrated with the situation. I do not rule out the possibility of giving it a second chance in the future, but it was a very disappointing experience — and, honestly, unacceptable for a restaurant of this size.
