This was my second visit of the year. The first time I had the risotto and salmon. The salmon was very juicy, grilled just right, and the risotto was very creamy—the kind that hugs your fork. The combination was light, tasty, and full of charm, right in Pobre Juan's style, inspired by Argentina, and a perfect match for its wine list.On my second visit, I decided to go for the barbecue, the restaurant's traditional dish. Pobre Juan recently revamped its menu, with premium cuts: it even has Wagyu A5 from Japan, grilled shrimp, and even miso salmon grilled on the grill.I ended up choosing the barbecue: tender, well-seasoned meat with that sensational grilled crust. The sides were pistachio farofa and biro-biro rice, which gave it the finishing touch.The ambiance is still elegant, with a revamped layout, a beautiful bar, and top-notch service. This is a place to go when you want to impress, since the experience is premium, but not over the top: most dishes cost between R$120 and R$160.If you like creamy risotto or good grilled meat, this place delivers—and delivers well. I'll definitely be back!

Terrible experience, I placed my order and the waiter was rude and said that my starter dish would not be enough, even though the menu says exactly how much the portions weigh. Customers do not always want to order large dishes, it all depends on how hungry the person is. I thought it was unnecessary and desperate to sell larger dishes.
