I wanted to meet him but at the beginning it requires a reservation and there is no opportunity.
Quintonil is a must-see.I returned after a while, and unlike the previous visit, I must say that I didn't always enjoy it to the same degree. The flavors were up and down (which disappointed me a bit). However, this time I can say that some dishes took me back to my childhood in the Tehuacán region, with very typical flavors from the towns in the area: Huajuapan, Coapa, Miahuatlán, and Tehuacán; and that is priceless.Highlights:The service is excellent, attentive, diligent, and personalized. Atmosphere: Ideal for enjoying a good meal. Drinks: Wide selection, and if you're unsure of what to pair with, the staff can suggest good options based on your palate and what you're tasting.Among the food highlights:* Chilled chileatole with a hint of cilantro, something I'd never tried before, and I must say I liked it (I've always had it hot). The strong cilantro was a 10/10.* The duck mole: Delicious; while the green mole was a disappointment.* The fish: perfect 👌* The ice cream to cleanse the palate* The gordita, delicious.* The caviar dessert, delicious (and I'm not a caviar fan).Points for improvement: I made a reservation at the bar at 1 pm (I'd never had that experience before), and we had to wait 15-20 minutes. It was very rude of them, with everyone standing outside and no small detail to compensate for the wait, not even a seat. The green mole. Although the meat was perfectly cooked, the mole was a total disappointment. The final desserts, without any joke, felt like I was trying something from Palacio de Hierro. The first time I went, I thought it was a better experience than this time.Final bill for 2 people: $12,238 Mexican pesos (approximately $611 USD) plus a 15% tip.You must reserve ahead of time on their website; you leave a deposit and pay the rest immediately.I'm posting photos and videos.
A great experience for those who enjoy fine dining… its menu is based on contemporary Mexican cuisine and entomophagy.
Absolutely wonderful experience. Every bite was perfect and paired just right. I strongly recommend this restaurant.
My husband & I had the pleasure of visiting Quintonil during our time in Mexico City for our birthday celebration. We have dine in Michelin restaurants all over the world and Quintonil is one of the few we have on our list to return to try a different season menu. Service was excellent, food was beautifully crafted and delicious, atmosphere was comfortable. The wine pairing was the one thing I was not impressed, I think it was thoughtfully crafted but I wasn’t a fan of some of the wines.
Everything from start to end was excellent. Food, service atmosphere, all of it was beyond what I expected. The tasting menu was one of the most creative and bold ones I've ever tried. Personal favorites were the melon salad, the branzino, the duck main and the cornbread dessert, but honestly everything else was pretty good too. The V60 coffee at the end was also a nice touch. Overall, I had a fantastic experience and would recommend it to anyone for any special occasion.

Amazing experience overall, with a few critiques. I didn’t like the first dish at all, the corn soup, it was overly salty and unpalatable. Aside from that, everything else was great. The other thing is it was hot inside with no AC. Would’ve been a better experience if the temperature was controlled.
Elevated mexican cuisine. What a treat into the world of Mexico's ingredients and taste profile.Generally amazing, with a couple of misses - e.g. young corn soup was bland and hamachi was too salty. Outstanding presentation and glad I got to try the variety of mole.Slightly pricey for the value, but there arent many restaurants at this level.
