I think it's a rundown place. It used to be a tradition, but it's not like it used to be. The hours aren't flexible at all; they start early but close at 8 p.m., and after 7 a.m., they're running after you. They've also stopped taking reservations through open table, and booking is a nightmare. The phone service is awful and unhelpful. On-site, the wait times for tables and food are very slow. The food is bland; the price isn't worth what you get. This place has gained a reputation, but honestly, it's not even 30% of what it used to be. The place is also very run down. The service in general is terrible; the people serving you are very mean and unreasonable. If you check the reviews, the lowest ones are mostly from 2025. If you can avoid the bad experience, it's better to go somewhere else.
It's a great place with decades of tradition, they've perfected several things, remember that around 3 is the live Mexican dance and music event, there are many who like it and seemed to, but if it's loud 🎚️ 🔊. So you decide 🤠.
Nice, very Mexican, very friendly staff (they never change), it's expensive, you have a good time
The atmosphere is the place's redeeming quality, along with the live music and dancing. Aside from that, beware of the waiters who offer you fancy drinks. If you don't agree with the food, they'll pull the wool over your eyes. We tried the barbacoa the waitress suggested, and it was tasteless. The guacamole was the same. I don't plan on going back.
Very rich and varied, excellent service from waiters and cooks, the varied and rich buffet, highly recommended
Highly recommended if you are in the Tlalpan area, excellent atmosphere and excellent service 10/10
In 2025, it's still a good reference for Mexican food. It's not the best, but it's good. What's terrible are the prices; they're EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE. Pork Carnitas and Barbacoa are 2.5 times more expensive per kilo than the general average.
Excellent Sunday buffet
