The food is pretty good here. I got the chicken Thai salad and I found it to be good, although I didn't detect any spices or anything else that made it Thai. It looked small but it was very filling. We also had the cocona juice to drink and we found it to be good. The prices were reasonable, especially considering the location. The service was very friendly.Good music, excellent atmosphere, very good service!!I recommend it. We spent several days in Iquitos and definitely chose Fitzcarraldo several times, as the value was very good! Every time we ate there, dinner or lunch was excellent. I definitely recommend the Causa Acevichada, one of my favorite dishes.The restaurant is in a very nice part of the city, which makes getting there pleasant.It's exciting, after 40 years, to return to Peru and see objects that evoke everything I'd been told about what I experienced in 1981, when the Fassbinder film was being shot.Unfortunately, I can't understand most of the positive reviews at all. My burger was okay, but the bun was completely dry and a bit hard. My friend's "Caprese salad" consisted only of hearts of palm and three small slices of tomato or mozzarella. Charging 30 Sol for that is really cheeky. It's and will always be a place for tourists.They have best Patarashka (roasted fish with onion and tomato wrapped in banana leaf), tender fish, strong acid flavor, highly recommended!!!! In comparison the crocodile chicharrón is not that good, the meat is too hard to chew actually. Sitting outside looking at the boulevard is fantastic experience.
