Food is not good for the price ! It’s so bland and emotionless ! I ordered sea bass fillet with coconut and coconut lemonade (I explicitly asked for less sugar), it was so high in sugar !The service was good ! It was very very crowded and you need a reservation. Since it was just me, I got a walk-in.Atmosphere / ambience is great. There is live music too. I think the raving reviews are for vibe and not food ! Wouldn’t recommend
Good food, good music and excellent service. It is the best value for money in the walled city.
From a not-lame family:Food was pretty good. At least I think it was good. I’ve never eaten food so fast at a restaurant. If the food was takeout, I would give it 4.5 stars. The music at this restaurant would be best described as Colombian Skrillex being played through a broken speaker at volume 11. When they played ‘Happy Birthday’, the volume would be turned up to 13. Apparently it was everyone’s birthday in Cartagena and they all came to this restaurant. I’m pretty sure my DNA was altered by the acoustic insult that I endured while I was there. Thanks to our waiter who was able to turn down the speaker located 16 inches from my face for 2 minutes and 30 seconds. It then turned back up to volume 12. This was likely a Colombian ploy to turn our table over to another party in a record 28 minutes. Now I can blame the poor communication for the rest of the trip on my permanently damaged inner ear instead of my poor grasp of the Spanish language.
It's a very lively place with excellent local cuisine. They have live music during lunch and dinner. Great food, great cocktails, and generous portions. It's best to book because the restaurant gets quite busy during peak hours.
During our short stay in Cartagena for dinner we decided to try this restaurant, where we had a mixed fried fish for 2 people and 4 beers, paying €30. The mixed fried fish plate was good and very abundant! Being quite large, the place lends itself to various celebrations and also includes a stage where live bands perform!
Excellent experience!I ordered an appetizer, and the nachos, guacamole, and pork were delicious and hot. The dishes were delicious and well-cooked. I ordered ribs smothered in BBQ sauce, which were cooked perfectly, along with patacones (fried plantains). The salad was spectacular, and the coconut lemonade was refreshing. The service was very attentive and friendly, and they recommended several dishes, all of which were equally delicious. I would definitely recommend this place!
I will not recommend this restaurantPros: No waiting time Cons: The food quality is very bad. We went trying to get an authentic colombian food and it was disappointing. Pork ribs with a lot of BBQ sauce. Horrible salad.
I don't recommend going there. It's the worst restaurant I've ever been to.We arrived and asked for a table for two. They sat us next to the bar because there were no other tables, even though I saw at least three empty tables for two. It took a while for them to give me the menu or for a waiter to come and serve us. The waiters spent about 15 minutes gossiping with the girl at the register, while I waited and waited. Then we ordered two drinks and two main courses. Just saying that the main courses arrived before the drinks already speaks volumes about the service. It took a long time for everything. They're competing for the best Cartagena posta, but how sad! Three small cuts of meat, some rice rolls, and a sliced avocado for 50k. The food speaks volumes.I went to the bathroom, and one of the stalls didn't work, there was no toilet paper, and the bathroom was super small. So much decor inside the restaurant, but the bathrooms were terrible! When I asked for the bill, first it took a while for a waiter to give me the bill, and then when I paid, it took a while for them to give me the change. The place is very nice inside, but the service and attention were extremely poor. I recommend not going there, or even waiting for a table, because there are other places with better service, amenities, and food.If you look closely at the photo, my plate is sticking out of the table because it was so small and uncomfortable.
