We've never received a reaction to our comments, but I'm still going to share our experience here. It was already a restaurant with very good food and fair prices. But now they've increased the price of some dishes by 35% and reduced the portion size, which we find absurd. With only one other table occupied, it took 30 minutes for our food to come out. We'll choose other restaurants for dinner in the future. DISAPPOINTING. We don't recommend it.On our first visit, the food, rabo do torro, was a 10/10, and the garlic shrimp was also very tasty. Our second visit today was a bit disappointing. Both dishes we ordered had mushrooms—but FROM A CAN! In a restaurant of this caliber, this is unacceptable, even though we have a fresh mushroom farm here in Salvador/Itapua. A shame...
I don't recommend it... I didn't like it. Visually, the dishes are pretty and eye-catching. My aunt even liked the cod, but the paellas... they're nothing like paella. The first negative was that they arrived cold. We ordered one seafood dish and half vegetarian (the menu doesn't have individual vegetarian dishes; they made individual dishes for us but charged the price for the individual seafood dish). I got the impression that they cooked the rice in a pan and mixed in the seafood later when serving. The same thing happened with the vegetarian dish, which didn't even have ingredients listed on the menu, like asparagus. The service was also very slow, with many servers, and it was difficult to get attention. We were planning to order dessert, but after being disappointed with the dishes, we decided to go to Além-Mar across the street for dessert.
We made a reservation to enjoy the weekly menu, which was priced at R$73.90 (seventy-three reais and ninety cents) at lunchtime. When we went to check out, the payment document presented revealed that instead of listing both weekly menus at the aforementioned price, each option was charged separately. The vegetarian option (salad, vegetarian paella, and pastel de Belém) was R$88.90 (eighty-eight reais and ninety cents), and the other (codfish fritters, Sevillian shrimp, and travesseiro de Sintra) was R$89.90 (eighty-nine reais and ninety cents). We didn't add up the prices at the time because we didn't imagine this would happen, which we only realized at home. Disgraceful and shameful! We won't repeat it, and we don't recommend it!
Very good restaurant with quality food and very good service.
Excellent service, quality food and good wines, highly recommended
I just left the Barra Unit without being served. We try to go to places near our house, but they don't help. They welcomed us quickly, but we sat there waiting for a miracle in the service. I saw several croquettes on the counter, the kitchen ringing the bell several times, and no one took them. How can the service be so chaotic on a Friday, with a gastronomic festival going on? It's a type of place I've never been to and I won't go back to. It's a shame it's doomed to close. I even spoke to the waiter, who only apologized and said that the staff was reduced. So, apparently, there's a lack of management as well.
The restaurant has a manager named Lourival "Soró" who is very friendly, has a ready smile, recommends the best dishes, and makes us feel comfortable. The cuisine is delicious with a wide variety! The atmosphere is pleasant, and most importantly: secure and... free parking 😃It's worth a visit!!!
Total disappointment, bad food at a high price.
