Restaurant recommended by some friends who ate there two years ago... evidently something has changed. Embarrassing service: waitress clearly a novice, totally confused and inadequate. Dishes bordering on edible: fish and sea urchin ceviche, duck ceviche literally immersed in vinegar, you had to drink water between one fork and the next to restore sensitivity to the tongue; fish soup well presented but with a terrible taste, cloudy, filled with ingredients that are difficult to connect with each other. The only thing that is good about the place is the terrace on the upper floor. High price for the terrible experience.
Went on a Saturday evening, and they were closed.
As a traditional Andean dish. EXCELLENT
Looked very close. They told us the restaurant right next to it is exactly the same but this restaurant was completely empty without any atmosphere.
Waitress lovely. Waited nearly an hour for food. And nobody else in restaurant. All food arrived cold. Sent all back for reheating. Alpaca and mash tasty. No vegetables or salad on menu. My dish was just meat and sauce. Not a balanced meal. Would not recommend. We read reviews and realised they were from 6 yrs ago, very disappointed.
Food — Best cuy I’ve had in my life, Walter (the owner and chef) is incredibly intentional with his ingredients and the methods used for cooking his dishes. After being full, I didn’t feel that bloated sense, and I strongly think this is due to his natural and chemical free method of cooking, just like our ancestors used. Everything reminded me of my grandmother’s cooking. ALSO, ORDER THE CEVICHE. I love the common ceviche popular (from Lima) but the ancestral way is the best (no limes, all passion fruit juice). BEST CEVICHE EVER.Service — we were lucky, we were the only ones on a Wednesday night and Walter even took us into his kitchen to get a first hand tour of his cooking. Everything is incredibly fresh.Atmosphere — definitely bring a jacket! It’s on the second floor overlooking the cathedral and square plaza, it’ll get chilly!
A view of the beautiful square won’t save you from disappointing, bland food that comes at a snail’s pace
Top, a great experience, it's worth it 100% recommended
