Very good restaurant. I recommend their 11-course tasting menu, where you can sample regional dishes. The atmosphere is pleasant and the service is excellent, always explaining each dish.
A very nice experience, both gastronomically and culturally! Served by Miss Dayana, who provided excellent explanations of the dishes and cocktail suggestions.
An unforgettable gastronomic experience at Suyu! The 9-course menu is a true journey through the flavors of Peru, with each dish perfectly balanced, with impeccable pairing and an authenticity that delights from start to finish. The cuisine surprises with its creativity and respect for Peruvian roots. And to make everything even more special, Diego's service was exceptional: attentive, passionate about what he does and with explanations that enrich every moment. An experience that goes beyond food, it is culture, art and hospitality all rolled into one.
A proposal that focuses on form, but fails to fully capture the essenceWe visited the restaurant attracted by its tasting menu, currently consisting of nine courses at a price of S/. 85 (excluding drinks). At first glance, the value is reasonable: the portions, although small, are appropriate for the number of dishes, and each presentation is carefully curated. However, beyond the aesthetics, the culinary experience feels safe, without risks or surprises. For a Peruvian diner accustomed to the richness and diversity of our cuisine, this tasting can seem predictable. Most of the dishes rely on traditional preparations without any reinterpretation to justify the tasting menu format. There is no clear narrative or marked evolution over time, and except for the final dessert—a creative and well-executed take on the classic queso helado—no dish truly stands out or excites. It's, in essence, an experience I'd recommend more to foreign visitors interested in a stylized introduction to Peruvian flavors. The service was another weak point. I understand that the schedule can be a factor, but the staff who served us conveyed disinterest, as if the day already weighed on them. In an experience that aspires to be immersive, the attitude of the team is as crucial as the kitchen or the space. And precisely regarding the space: one senses investment and a desire to renew. The restaurant has been renovated with a colorful and striking aesthetic, but the execution lacks visual and atmospheric coherence. The main problem is the lighting. The mix of white and warm lights, the multicolored LED strips that run along walls, columns, and ceilings, along with unnecessary decorative elements, create a sensory overload that prevents one from enjoying the ambiance. No atmosphere is created; instead, visual noise prevails. Paradoxically, this exuberant exterior contrasts with the bathrooms, which are immersed in a dim, nonfunctional atmosphere. In short, it's a space with good intentions, some specific successes, and a clear aesthetic commitment, but it still needs refinement to live up to its promise. A place to recommend with reservations, especially if you prioritize style over depth of the gastronomic experience.
Tasting menu in Cusco with unbeatable value for money, a journey through Peruvian cuisine in 9 steps, with 3 starters, 3 main courses and 3 desserts. Converted to reais, it came to 390.00 for the couple (without tip) including 2 drinks and 1 beer.
Wow what an experience! Food was amazing, our server was great, and the restaurant had such a cool vibe. Food was not extremely expensive unlike other restaurants that offer similar experiences. So because of that we’ll come back! The degustación menu was 11 plates but they lowered them to 8 with plates that fill you up more. And honestly, glad they did! We were almost full by the 4th plate.
Very good experience, the tasting menu is a trip, highly recommended
The environment is really nice, there are three dance performances after 7 o'clock, the atmosphere is OK. The wine is also OK. But! Do you report the dishes? ? I can't understand this rating... As a restaurant, shouldn't the first criterion be delicious? I ordered the tasting menu, and only one dish I thought was ok... The starter ceviche was not delicious, I was shocked...
