Terraço Itália

Terraço Itália offers a stunning setting with panoramic views and elegant decor. The wine and bread service were excellent, and Mota—the maître d’, sommelier, and manager—was a clear highlight. He was gracious, knowledgeable, and attentive, especially impressive given he had only been in the role for three months.Unfortunately, the overall experience was marred by chaotic service and disappointing execution. Appetizers didn’t arrive at the same time for all diners, and the wait staff was confused about who ordered what. The wait between appetizers and entrees was 1.5 hours. Basic fine dining etiquette was overlooked—ladies at the table were not served first, and coffee orders did not come out together.We asked several staff members if the cod was fresh and were assured that it was. It turned out to be salted dry cod—very dry and not at all what was described. When we asked to take leftovers home, we were told it was not allowed and that the restaurant doesn’t offer containers, which felt unnecessarily rigid and wasteful.To top it off, coffee was served with only a large bowl of sugar—no sweeteners or alternatives offered.At $145 USD per person, the service and food missteps made the experience feel overpriced and underwhelming. The view is worth a visit, but expectations for a seamless, high-end dining experience may go unmet.

It's worth the experience.

Everything is supposed to be great. But the service is terrible.
